Illusion table by Roberta Rampazzo

Roberta Rampazzo's latest design plays with the viewer's perception by defying our ideas of stability and balance. The Brazilian designer used a simple shape - four legs and a tabletop - as the starting point of her project. By altering the angle of two of the legs, Rampazzo then completely changed the aesthetics of the piece.

"The table is a reflection on how our mind can trick us and how there are still many possibilities of designing products that some we think are unchangeable," explains the designer. The structure is made of iron with a matte black finishing, and the tabletop can be produced in a variety of materials.
